A typical Kundalini Yoga class consists of a kriya, which is a specific sequence of postures, breath patterns, and sounds (mantras) designed to produce a particular energetic or emotional effect. These kriyas can vary widely: some focus on physical strength and flexibility, while others target emotional release, stress relief, or enhanced intuition. Classes often begin with a warm-up followed by the kriya, then a period of deep relaxation, and conclude with a meditation. One of the defining features of Kundalini Yoga is the use of chanting, particularly the repetition of mantras such as “Sat Nam,” which means “truth is my identity.”

About me, Dan
I first discovered yoga 25 years ago in an Ashtanga Vinyasa class with Jock Orton (Limehouse Yoga), where I experienced an immediate sense of release and vitality. Over the years I explored and enjoyed Hatha, Hot Yoga, and Yin, but it was Kundalini Yoga — with its unique blend of breathwork, meditation, mantra, and movement — that truly resonated with me.
Through Bhagat Kundalini Yoga, my aim is simple: to hold space where others can reconnect with themselves, transform, and shine. Sat Nam.
